Why Donate to STC?

STC provides vital cultural opportunities to all segments of the Sacramento population. As the longest running professional theatre company in Sacramento, we provide experiences that help make Sacramento a vibrant and desirable community in which to live, work, and play. We educate, inspire, engage, enrich, and entertain Sacramento with quality, live theatre experiences. Your contributions ensure that we are able to continue and expand the programs listed below, all of which enhance the quality of life for Sacramento’s citizens.

Our Programs

STC produces seven professional productions, three cabarets, and five youth productions per season and performs from September-May.

STC’s School of the Arts offers several programs serving youth ages 6 to 18. These programs include the Pre-Professional Ensemble, Camps, the School Partnership Program, a professional Internship Program, and the Young Professionals Conservatory.

Youth Outreach

In addition to the School Partnership Program of the STC School of the Arts, STC hosts thousands of students each year for class field trips. Our staff visits many of the classrooms prior to their visit to discuss the significance of the play and the story. These visits are offered at little to sometimes no-cost for the students.

Senior Outreach

STC works with numerous senior communities and centers to provide affordable theatrical entertainment throughout the year. STC recognizes that seniors often live on fixed incomes and find it difficult to travel to our facility. We work with senior communities to provide low-cost, accessible entertainment.

Community Partners

STC partners with other area non-profit organizations to educate the community about important topics related to our productions, as well as host certain special events. During the 2018-2019 season, STC partnered with organizations such as California Lawyers for the Arts on The Crucible, WEAVE on Steel Magnolias, Women’s Empowerment on A Christmas Carol,   McGeorge School of Law on Murder For Two, the Wind Youth Services on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the Lilliput Families on When We Were Colored, and the Sacramento Fire Reserves on Disaster.
