2023-2024 Youth Series Auditions Now Open!

STC’s School of the Arts Productions are led by professional directors and actors and offer students the experience of participating in a fully-produced musical or play with sets, costumes, and lighting on either the STC Main Stage or the STC Pollock Stage. Students learn warm-up techniques, theatre etiquette, vocal projection, diction, singing, dancing, and acting, as well as collaboration skills as they work together to tell great stories.

Now Auditioning:

Disney’s Little Mermaid Jr.
3rd grade through 8th grade
Rehersals begin November 14th; Performances run January 19- January 28, 2024

Participation Cost: $500

Auditions for Little Mermaid Jr. will be held:

October 26th- 4:00-7:00p
October 27th- 4:00-5:30p
Callbacks: October 27th- 6:00-8:00pm

What to Prepare

Students should come to their audition with the following items prepared.

Please note: Students will be notified at their audition if they will be asked to return for Callbacks on October 27th from 6:00-8:00pm. Students should be available for their audition slot AND callbacks.

If a 9th grade student wants to be considered for both Little Mermaid AND Heathers, our auditions are happening on the same day. Please make sure you sign up for two different time slots that do not conflict! Students will not be able to do both Little Mermaid and Heathers.

Heathers: The Musical

Heathers: Teen Edition
9th grade through 12th grade
Rehersals begin Jan. 2nd; Performances run Feb. 16-25, 2024

Participation Cost: $500

Auditions for Heathers: Teen Edition will be held:

October 26th- 4:00-8:00p
October 27th- 4:00-5:30p
Callbacks: October 27th- 6:00-8:00pm

What to Prepare

Students should come to their audition with the following items prepared.

  • One belting song NOT from Heathers OR Mean Girls the Musical. Please bring an accompaniment track to be played on your phone (no acapella).
  • One short 45 second monologue in the style of the show. Please make sure your monologue is age appropriate for the style of the show.

  • Headshot and Resume, printed.
