Summer Camps

Improvisation, scene study, voice and movement, stage combat, theatre history, yoga, mask work, playwriting and more – the perfect summer experience. Sign-up your student for continued enrichment and involvement in the Sacramento Theatre Company’s summer camps!

Summer camp faculty includes professional theatre artists and local teachers who lead students through a diverse curriculum that is based on teamwork, confidence-building and creative expression. Each two-week session ends with the students’ presentation of their original work for family and friends.

SHAKESPEARE ALIVE!

STC presents a unique opportunity for middle and high school students to develop their classical skills. Shakespeare Alive! immerses students in Shakespeare's plays and language under the instruction of some of the most respected teachers and classical actors in Northern California.

With so much interest in Shakespeare, STC launched this program to help guide a new generation of California students in the discovery of what is profound, universal and timeless in the works of Shakespeare. Through Shakespeare Alive!, students are introduced to the power of language and sound, while they are taught tangible ways to understand and manipulate the language of these powerful texts.

Classes in acting, scene study, voice, movement, text analysis, stage fighting and clown will be taught by leading theatre professionals, and professors. Camp culminates in a modified Shakespearean production.
