embark on a cruise through the ’70s
5th Annual Black & Red Gala
We’ve found a way to travel back in time, and we’re sharing our secret with you on April 6th, 2019. And our destination isn’t just one day — it’s a whole decade!
Our time-travel event represents our biggest gala fundraising event to date. It kicks off the final show of our 74th season – Disaster! – a musical parody of several 1970’s disaster films and brings a close to our season of “Love, Loss & Laughter.”

On April 6th, 2019, starting at 6:00pm, the STC campus transforms into a cruise ship (imagine The Love Boat), and our guests set sail on an evening of sophisticated entertainment. Think 1970s cocktail attire.
We’ll visit ports-of-call throughout the decade:
- Vegas Casino with “The King of Rock-n-Roll”
- Flash-Back with ‘70s style Comedy Performances
- Dance the Night Away
- Feast on International Cuisine
- Test your ’70s knowledge with Trivia Challenges
- Studio “74”: Learn ‘70s dance moves like The Hustle, The Bump & Electric Slide
- Mingle with Iconic Personalities
- Imbibe Specialty Cocktails
- And so much more…
Tickets are on sale now, but sponsoring is a great option. Sponsorship levels begin at $500 and include a sponsor-only champagne preview reception on April 5th with special guest Faith Prince.
Tony Award winning star of Guys & Dolls, Disaster! and The Little Mermaid, Faith Prince, visits Sacramento Theatre Company on Friday, April 5th 2019 at 6:00pm, for a private evening of Fizz champagne and conversation. Miss Prince has been dazzling Broadway audiences since winning the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award for her performance as ‘Ms. Adelaide’ in Guys and Dolls.
As one of Broadway’s best loved leading ladies, Faith most recently starred on Broadway in the musical, Disaster!, for which she received rave reviews. And on Friday, April 5th @ 6pm, Faith will join Sacramento Theatre Company to talk about her experience starring in the Broadway production of Disaster!.
This rare and intimate evening with Faith Prince is part of Sacramento Theatre Company’s 5th annual fundraising gala. To secure your tickets to this special evening, and our April 6th Black & Red Gala: Cruise Through the ‘70s, contact STC’s Development Coordinator at 916-446-7501 ext. 105 or email email@example.com.
Faith’s Broadway and screen credits include Bells Are Ringing (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critic Circle nominations), Nick & Nora (Outer Critics Circle Award) Billy Elliott, Annie, “Drop Dead Diva,” “Modern Family,” “Melissa & Joey,” and far too many to list here.
