Synopsis

Presented as two one-acts, For Whom the Southern Bell Tolls and The Actor’s Nightmare, these over-the-top sketches feature the parody and absurdist humor that is signature to Chistopher Durang.

The Actor’s Nightmare, absurd and exaggerated in equal measure, is inspired by the dreams actors often have in which they are about to go onstage and cannot remember their lines. For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls is a fast-paced parody that pokes fun at the melodramatic tropes of the works of Tenessee Williams.
