We take very seriously your health and safety and the health and safety of our performers. We have closely followed all of the updates regarding COVID-19, and to protect both you and our actors and staff, we have made the difficult decision that the remainder of our 2019-2020 Main Series and Cabaret Series performances will be cancelled. This includes Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, The Room Where It Happens: Broadway’s Modern Musical, and A Little Night Music. We were looking forward to bringing these productions to you, and this decision was not made lightly.
We are a nonprofit arts organization, and as with the rest of Sacramento’s regional nonprofit performing arts organizations we rely on ticket sales, and donations to maintain operations, and present shows for our community. Loss of ticket revenue is a setback for this year’s season.
Please consider converting the cost of your tickets to a donation to Sacramento Theatre Company. All donations are tax-deductible and will assist STC during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate the cost of your tickets to STC, other options are available.
In deference to the health of our employees, we have temporarily closed our administration office and our box office. Once the public health officials give us permission to open up, we will contact all subscribers and ticket holders. We hope that everyone will be patient and take all personal steps to keep yourselves and each other safe during this time.
SCHOOL OF THE ARTS:
Some of our education programs are continuing through online classroom portals. The Education Department is busy preparing for summer camp and are working remotely and available to answer any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our final Youth Series production of the season, Macbeth, for Kids has been postponed. We will be providing more information in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your support of STC and we look forward to bringing you great theatre for the next 75 years.
